Chef Mary is the former Cooking School Director of the renown Silo Cooking School in New Milford, CT. In addition to teaching classes for all ability levels, from ages 5 to 85, she has also worked with local and celebrity chefs such as Jacques Pepin, Sara Moulton and Suvir Saran.

As a professional chef who particularly enjoys ethnic cuisines, Mary has travelled extensively throughout her career. She trained at Le Cordon Bleu in the UK and Paris; The French Culinary Institute in NYC, The Royal Thai Culinary School in Bang Saen, Thailand; The School for American Chefs at Beringer Vineyards apprenticing under Madeleine Kamman. She also earned a BS in Hotel Restaurant Management and studied university foreign language and archaeology.

She has worn many culinary hats from cooking at and managing quick service to 5-star establishments, designing and running her own successful restaurant and catering businesses to being featured on Food Network and appearing regularly on local CT television. But Mary’s first love is sharing her knowledge teaching a wide array of cooking classes in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
